WRONGTHINK!!!

I just spotted that a story of mine was banned on Reddit.

This was a letter to founder and CEO of Discovery, Adrian Gore. It was carefully and thoroughly referenced. All of my analysis was suitably tethered to the data. Arguments were level-headed and entirely defensible.

The tone was, in my view, cordial. I invited this brilliant and powerful businessman to a debate.

But even if the arguments were outlandish and weird. Free speech rules are not for ideas you like. They're for ideas you don't like.

This censorship ought to terrify everyone. Even if you think I'm a lunatic. I'd be just as appalled if an argument in favour of vaccine mandates [without slander, hate speech, incitement to violence] was censored.

Read the letter here. What do you think? Frightening and tyrannical censorship? Or legitimate removal of dangerous material?

PS. As I recall, "wrongthink" isn't a word Orwell uses. Often attributed to him. Juuust a caveat in case an eagle eyed troll sees irony and hypocrisy on my tweet. And boy, it would be.

Can anyone remember if George did use the word?
