In 2019 the WHO was pretty ANTI: masks, hand sanitising, social distancing, contact tracing, border screening, travel advice, surface and object cleaning, and indirectly school closures based on lack of impact from different school holiday times.

In their words:

“Ten RCTs were included in meta-analysis, and there was no evidence that face masks are effective in reducing transmission of laboratory-confirmed influenza.”

“hand hygiene was not effective against laboratory-confirmed influenza in meta-analysis in community settings and university halls”

“Respiratory etiquette”: ” No scientific studies were identified for inclusion in this review.”

“Evidence for overall effectiveness of contact tracing was limited.”

Border screening: “the effectiveness of screening travellers is likely to be very limited.”

Travel advice: “No scientific studies were identified for inclusion in this review.”

Surface and object cleaning: “no evidence of effectiveness against laboratory-confirmed influenza virus infection.”

“No evidence found of a relationship between the effective reproduction number and the start of school holidays”

The science didn't change in five months. How did they make the anti-lockdowners the lunatics?
