Sweden was right

But Sweden?

Lockdowners have called Sweden names.

Sweden didn’t panic. They followed pre-Covid pandemic response plans.

Excess mortality data is hard to escape. Sweden was right all along.

Three Germanic countries’ excess mortality data is below, all from https://mpidr.shinyapps.io/stmortality/.

Austria and Germany locked down hard. Sweden didn’t. I suspect even they did too much, with mask recommendations and limited school closures for certain ages. Their brief spell of excess mortality may well have been as a result of these measures.

What about Scandinavian comparisons? Here they are.

What am I missing? I’d much appreciate a contradictory argument. Not cynically or sarcastically. I’m desperate to understand the case for lockdowns. For now, all I can think of is mania.

Great info. The govt never looked at the whole picture. Big tell were the reports from UN about how economic downturn would cause starvation. Ignored. For sake of elderly and overweight. Who were not protected anyway.
