3 things they don't tell you about Covid

1. Vaccines can and are backfiring

In some settings, Covid vaccines are causing a higher rate of infection. Here’s one: England, people aged 40 to 79, during weeks 32 and 35 of 2021.

As Public Health England put it, “In individuals aged 40 to 79, the rate of a positive COVID-19 test is higher in vaccinated individuals compared to unvaccinated.” You can check the data here.

And here’s the visual:

2. Not okay, Boomer.

Our “journalists” are also prone not to convey accurately just how few young people are dying from Covid. That is why so many people are wrong about it.

Consider this data from Franklin Templeton. They conclude, “Nearly all US fatalities have been among people older than 55; and yet a large number of Americans are still convinced that the risk to those younger than 55 is almost the same as to those who are older.”
Entire populations are making decisions based on vastly flawed beliefs about Covid.

3. Time doesn’t heal all wounds

Vaccine effectiveness wanes greatly over weeks and months. A study out of Qatar has demonstrated this.

As the authors put it, effectiveness against infection “reached its peak at 72.1% (95% CI: 70.9-73.2) in the first five weeks after the second dose. Effectiveness declined gradually thereafter, with the decline accelerating ≥15 weeks after the second dose, reaching diminished levels of protection by the 20th week.”
